2013 at Thoma was an eventful year to say the least — we said hello to some great new clients and said goodbye to one of our longest tenured and most beloved employees, plus a whole lot more. Here’s our Thoma Top 10 for 2013, in no particular order.

1. Suzannes

Thoma Suzanne Guide

We added two Suzannes and a significant amount of email confusion when both Suzanne Guymon and Suzanne Sage joined our account service team.

2. New Digital Presence

THOMA-SITE

We took a break from producing groundbreaking work for our clients to make something pretty cool for ourselves — the new thomathoma.com site that launched in the summer to much acclaim.

3. Fancy Digs

Thoma-Office-NEW

We moved our office … again. After squatting in some temporary digs in Plaza West, our new space in Riverdale was move-in ready in the spring. New furniture, new decor and a whole new vibe. Drop by and see if for yourself if you haven’t yet.

4. Thoma Film Festival

tt-fil-fest

The inaugural Thoma Film Festival was held in January and produced some insightful work from several associates. Stephanie Drangle took home Best of Show with her personal brand story. View it here.

5. New Clients

tip

Lots and lots of new clients. Thoma put our brand smarts to work for an array of businesses and organizations in 2013 — including Cache Restaurant, Tipton & Hurst, Hospice and Palliative Care Association of Arkansas, Arkansas Home Visiting Network, Aviagen, and Southern Bancorp just to name a few.

6. Interns

Rose

We had some fun interns this year, ranging from the introspective Stephen to the pliable Rose, the snarky Ben, the efficient Hillary, and the absent whatever-that-girl’s-name-was that only showed up for a week. Overall a talented group that added a lot to our firm.

7. Accolades

Arkansas Business Best of Biz

Thoma was named a finalist in the Best of Biz awards by Arkansas Business in the categories of Best Advertising Agency and Best Public Relations agency. Polite applause here.

8. Veeta Biggers

Veeta

Veeta Biggers, who as been handling the books at Thoma for better part of two decades is finally hanging up her 10 key, or whatever she uses to count the money. Veeta, who has been like having a mom at the agency, has done everything from balance the checkbook to cook weekly catered lunches for the entire office. She will be missed tremendously.

9. Riverdale

EZ Mart

We became full fledged members of our new neighborhood, patronizing great establishments like Pizza Cafe, Maddies, The Fold and beat a well-worn path to the neighborhood E-Z  for late afternoon Hot Cheetos and Icees.

10. Philanthropy

Race for the Cure

Philanthropy, and lots of it. We can’t help it that helping others is in our DNA. In 2013, we continued to provide the marketing for Komen Arkansas Race for the Cure, as well as Wildwood Park for the Performing Arts and the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra. We were even recognized for our efforts with a fancy trophy from the Association of Fundraising Professionals of Arkansas.

Best wishes to you and yours and Happy New Year from the team at Thoma Thoma.
